Born 1984 in San Francisco,CA. Alexander later moved to New York to study at Parsons school of design. After only two years of studying there he left to pursue his career in fashion and releasing his own brand. The designer launched his first ready to wear collection in 2007. He has opened his first store in 2011 in Soho, New York and a year later in Bejing, China. 2009 T by Alexander Wang came to life which consists of handbags, accessories and shoes. Later on he launched his first menswear collection in 2011.
The young designer has achieved many recognition and awards such as the 2008 CFDA/Vogue Fashion Fund and the 2011 GQ best menswear designer of the year. He has officially taken the place of Nicolas Ghesquière as creative directer for Balenciaga.
