Rihanna yesterday made an appearance at rappers Jay z’s grand opening of 40/40 club at the Barclays centre in Brooklyn, New York. The singer kept it simple with a dollar print two piece suit by Swedish label Acne from it’s resort 2013 collection. She paired her look with a pair of tan coloured sandals by designer Manolo Blahnik and completed her outfit with her Melody Eshani ‘queen of the jungle’ necklace and a Maria Francesca ear cuff.

In a custom made blue navy stripe crop top and a high waisted skirt with a slit detail on the side designed by Adam Selman. She also accessorised with a gold cross detail charm chain by Jewellery designer Tom binns. Both Adam Selman and Tom Binns collaborated together to create a costume for Rihanna, most of you will remember her glow in the dark painted swarovski bikini during the LOUD tour last year.

During an appearance on the Saturday night live show Rihanna wore designer  Tsumori Chisato from the Spring ready to wear collection.

A new outfit for her Australian tour, some of you may recognise this from her performance during the EMA awards. A flower detailed dress made by Kate Halfpenny and the flowers were hand painted by Kate Moross.

GILES DEACON added Rihanna to his ever-growing fan base last night, as the star chose to wear a red ruffle dress to the Brit Awards - created specially by the designer himself.

“I was approached by Rihanna about the project a couple of weeks ago,” he tells us. “I’ve worked with a number of great artists but not Rihanna and was delighted to do so.”

The gown was created with a specific brief in mind - the singer, who scooped the Best International Female Solo Artist award, needed to be able to remove the dress quickly in order to change into her S&M costume change.

“The main fitting was on Monday night after she had flown in from the Grammy’s but I was in Italy seeing the final pieces at the factory for next week’s autumn/winter show so could not attend unfortunately,” Giles says. “My team are well versed to dealing with artists of Rihanna’s calibre though.”

Does she get Giles’ casting fashion vote?

“I think she looks great,” he says. “She plays with characters in the way she dresses - in a very good way. We often play her music in the studio, she’s great to put on at wine time.”
