We received an image from one of our readers about Rihanna’s New York outfit she wore 3 years ago. So here’s the info on what we’ve found about her look. The singer donned a grey and white ruffle detail mini dress by designer brand Moncler worn with a pair of Stella Mccartney faux leather thigh high boots. Her shades were by Jean Paul Gaultier with architectural influence of the Eiffel tower.

We take a look back at Rihanna wearing Paris based designer Alexandre Vauthier designs during the Rated R era. With his signature sculptured shoulder pads, Rihanna nearly wore most of his designs to every event she attended. Vauthier also helped to design an outfit for her for 2010 last girl on earth tour which had LED details.

Last girl on earth: couture dress designed by  Alexandre Vauthier with help by designer Moritz Waldemeyer. The dress itself uses a combination of compressed gas and LED circuits to create this effect.

Rihanna has had the opportunity to collaborate with amazing designers most recently collaborating with Armani jeans and Emporio Armani designing a capsule clothing line which is currently on sale now.

Even before that Rihanna back in 2008 was made ambassador for Gucci’s collaboration with UNICEF.

Gucci’s creative director, Frida Giannini, chose the songstress for her “strong personality”. According to WWD, Giannini said: “When we decided to dedicate a full ad campaign, more than just creating products, to really come out and show our commitment to UNICEF, I felt a musician and a beautiful woman was the perfect icon for this campaign.” (Vogue)

The collection launched in November 2008 and ended in January 2009 the campaigns were featured in Vogue magazine with Rihanna posing with Gucci’s limited addition ’tattoo heart’ collection featuring illustrations of a heart tattoo in the trademark colours of Gucci the collection also came as a handbag, wallet and a keyring. 25 per cent of purchases of the collection were donated to the charity.
